Album Reviews written by you! Please Read!
04 Jun 2008 | Steffy
Ok, Erika suggested that instead of having the boring and not always very understandable album reviews of various websites here, you could write your own and I will upload it here. I really love this idea also because us, the real fans, see so much more in John's music than any of these random review guys ever will. Most of them won't even try to go there I guess.

So please, write about the music John makes! I want to collect all the reviews and constantly upload them to the site. For that I need you to please send in the review (preferable with your name), write down which album you're talking about OR the song. You're free to write down about whatever. It can be about the techniques John uses, his voice, his lyrics, the emotions, how it makes you feel, etc. I just want to collect beautiful stories about how John's music affects us, the fans.

If this is a success and I get lots of various reviews, I will try to get these to John somehow so he can read them!! So yeah, send in as many reviews as you want. This is open and will stay open until no one cares to write anymore ;) No deadline for now, ok?

Please send all reviews to steffy@second-walk.com!
I can't wait to start reading :)

Desktop Calendar and POTM
04 Jun 2008 | Steffy
Sorry for the lack of updates in the past few weeks. My life is just crazy and I am waiting for news on John's new record. I heard that it's currently being mastered so that's a good sign and great news, no? I seriously can't wait for new John music!

I uploaded a new Desktop Calendar for June and as always you'll find it in the media section. I hope you don't mind having Anthony in it too. I just love the picture. Also I want to dedicate it to Armando Ruiz, who passed away. I am sure you all read about it at I-M. I didn't know him but heard only good about him and it's always sad to hear such tragic stories. May he rest in peace :(

ACHOZEN - a name to remember!
18 May 2008 | Steffy
We all know that John is not the type of person who ever takes a break. Instead he works on various projects, besides his own and this time it's called Achozen. It's a project by System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, Killarmy member Kinetic 9, and Wu-Tang affiliate Reverend William Burke. Their album is said to be released in July 2008 and it will feature John! On their myspace you can read the following quote:

"Shavo and RZA have created space hip hop with Achozen. It's rap without a coast or even a planet. Instead, each song revolves around a solar system of feeling. That solar system is Achozen. The album explores and exorcises a spectrum of emotions, as each track delves into either pain, ecstasy, hate or hope. Utilizing sitar and violin, Shavo breaks the mold, playing live instruments across the album, as he constructs beats with a cosmic fluidity. Then there are the guests. John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers jams out a soulful, spacey chord melody on one track. GZA also pops up, helping RZA keep it Wu-Tang. Further breaking with convention, Shavo will release Achozen's debut via his musical networking site/online record label, urSESSION."

Sounds really interesting!! If you want to read more or hear their first song called "Deuces" you can visit their myspace by clicking here

On April 22th there was a jam session at the Roxy in Los Angeles and John joined the guys on stage! There are a few pictures of that event which I uploaded to the gallery.

A sneak peak. Click to see them all!

Sorry for the still messed up gallery!
